City of Glass by Cassandra ClareMy review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
If you've never heard of the series, Clary discovers that her somewhat mundane upbringing was an attempt to protect her from her true heritage and nature as a Shadowhunter--a race of people with special abilities and a mission to protect humans from demons and downworlders. She is quickly thrust into a dark and dangerous world where she must rely on new friends, including the sarcastic and brooding Jace, along with her own instincts to survive. Clary is immediately drawn to Jace but no end of obstacles come between them, some of which will leave you squirming until the end of the series.
I enjoyed this third installment in The Mortal Instruments series the best. Maybe because a lot of questions were answered and uncomfortable conflicts were resolved. In the earlier books, I felt like the author was struggling to find her footing at times, while her writing style seemed more confident here in City of Glass.
EDIT: Read first City of Bones and City of Ashes

YOu need to do a read first line, like you did for Extras.
