This is a YA, quick-read series that explores the current trends that idolize beauty and fame in a tricked-out future. In the fourth in the Uglies series, Aya is trying to make her mark in a city ruled by a "reputation economy." Commentary on our facebook, Youtube, and reality-TV pop culture abound. This is a fun and interesting series about a complex and dysfunctional civilization that may not be so different from our own.
