Young Adult. Remy has watched her mother repeatedly marry, divorce and remarry, after her father left before she was born. All this family history has left her cynical about the lasting power of love. Enter Dexter--awkward yet charming, gangly yet appealing, irresponsible yet persistent. Dexter is not typical boyfriend material for Remy whose usual M.O. is love 'em and leave 'em.
This was a fast read for me, so while it won't make my favorite books of all time list, I enjoyed the characters, the storytelling, and the message.
